The South Dorset Down
originated in New Zealand, being the result of
crossing the Dorset Down with the Southdown.
They resemble the Dorset Down and the South
Suffolk in appearance. First recognised in
Australia in 1975, the flock never exceeded
single figures and have now disappeared from the
flock books.
